Advanced Tie Plate Inserter
ATPI
Overview
The ATPI lifts the rails and inserts the tie plates in the proper position on the ties, then lowers the rails onto the plates, enabling a secure rail-to-tie connection.
Features
- Each railjack and workhead is independently controlled with a joystick
- Tie plates can be maneuvered fore and aft, left and right
- Hard stops ensure proper placement of plates before the rail is lowered
- Workhead lighting for night and tunnel projects
- Excellent 360-degree visibility fore and aft when track traveling
- Workhead adjustments are made at the operator seat with touchscreen controls, saving time and providing safer machine adjustments
- Onboard electrical system diagnostics to simplify troubleshooting and lessen downtime
- Smart hydraulic valves with self-diagnostics and maintenance screens increase flexibility, reliability, and reduce parts inventory by using the same control valve for every function
- Selective work/travel modes
