Our Origin
Racine Railroad Products was born from a single idea that redefined rail work forever. In the 1970s, George Christiansen Sr. recognized a critical gap in the railroad industry: the need for portable, job-site-ready equipment that could safely and efficiently cut rail. With a vision shaped by years at Racine Hydraulics and a belief in the enduring importance of rail, he acquired the railroad division and began building tools that would change the industry.
What started with one portable rail saw has grown into a third-generation, family-run company committed to advancing rail safety and innovation—all while staying true to the hardworking people who maintain the tracks that keep America moving.
Our Mission
RRP continues to evolve with the needs of the industry by designing, manufacturing, and building equipment that improves safety, elevates performance, and supports the crews doing the work.
With the acquisition of Hunter’s Fab in 2020, we strengthened our ability to fabricate the rugged frames and components our tools are known for.
Our expansion with RRP UK in 2023 was driven by both opportunity and alignment with our long-term vision of becoming a truly global leader in railroad maintenance. We extended our reach across the Atlantic with a new facility, ensuring that customers have access to the support and solutions they rely on.
Guided by three generations of family leadership, we remain focused on serving the rail community with integrity, innovation, and respect for the craft.
